PreKPrekindergarten Program Information
Qualifications for Prekindergarten
Children must be 4-years-old by September 1, 2021 in order to enroll for the 2021-22 school year.

Students primary residence must be live in the Northwest ISD boundaries.

and meet one or more of the following criteria:

Unable to speak and comprehend the English language.
Language Testing Center

Economically Disadvantaged
Eligible for free or reduced lunch program based on family size and the total gross household income from all working  members of the household.

The child of an active duty member of the armed forces of the United States.
The child of a member of  the state (Texas) military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who is ordered to active duty by proper authority.
The child of a member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of  the armed forces, who was injured or killed while serving on active duty.
Foster Care 
Children who are currently in or who have ever been under the conservatorship of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS).

Star of Texas Award
Be the child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award as a peace officer (3106.002), fire fighter (3106.004) that was seriously injured or lost their life in the line of duty.

as defined by 42 U.S.C. Section 11302

Documentation is required for each area of eligibility. If qualifying under limited English speaker your child will need to accompany you to registration for English language testing
